What year was this album made?

    • RUTHFAN says:

      Wish I knew.

    • Dr. Randall Marshall says:

This album was recorded circa 1972. I was personal friends with this Spirit filled group, and attended many of their concerts. I also was blessed to have had them in churches where I served. At the time of this recording, Johnny Cook was singing Tenor with them. Dale Shipley ( Marcy”s son) was also in the group. Johnny went on to sing with the Happy Goodmans, while Dale continued with Perfect Heart, and is now with the Freedom Quartet. Later on, Debra Sprague joined the Song Masters and began her journey into southern gospel stardom. She met and married Roger Talley and is still performing today! She and Roger, along with their daughter Lauren make up the Talleys! ” Aint God Good!” Dr. Randall J. Marshall

This album was recorded circa 1972. I was personal friends with all the Song Masters and attended many of their concerts. I was also blessed to have them in churches where I served. I know how well they loved the Lord and where their hearts were in their service for Him! Johnny Cook was singing Tenor during this recording, and Dale Shipley (Marcy’s son) was also with them. Johnny went on to sing with the Happy Goodmans, while Dale continued with Perfect Heart, and is now with the Freedom Quartet. At a later date Debra Sprague joined the Song Masters, and began her journey into southern gospel stardom. She met and married Roger Talley, and is still singing today. Together with their Daughter Lauren, they form The Talleys! Marcy still sings in churches and revivals, and is well known among the southern gospel family. Brother Joe is still singing too, except he is singing around the Throne! “Aint God good!”
