  1. Laura Bledsoe says:

The Singing Payne Family has always been my favorite Gospel Group, since I was a little girl. I have had the privilege of seeing them in person thre times in my life, with the last time being in 1980, when I was 13, and my father invited them to sing at the church he pastored, in Grants Pass, Oregon. Just two nights ago, while going through one of my containers, I came across the three record albums of their music, from the first timeI saw the Singing Payne Family in person, in 1972, when I was 5, and we lived in Galesville, WI, where my father pastored a church there. Though somewhat scratchy, the songs came through beautifully, their message just as true today, as it was then. I thanked out Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, for leading me to these dear albums, and the for the tremendous blessing they can once again be for me. I don’t know who is from the original Singing Payne Family, but I do know “on that grand, and glorious day”, I’ll get to say “Thank You. Jesus” with them. I have remembered, for 36 years, that Mrs. Dorothy Payne, in giving her testimony, had said that Hebrews 13:8 is her favorite verse. It says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever”. May God bless you all; I’ll see you one day in Heaven.
